Hello! That’s Me!

I’m Stella, founder of Studio Stella Ashburn. I’m a surface-pattern designer and illustrator with a strong focus on illustration for products, textiles, and home & living brands.
With a professional and academic background in both graphic design and fashion design, I bring a unique mix of creativity and commercial insight to my work. My designs are available for licensing, and I also take on custom commissions for brands and businesses worldwide.

Within my work, you’ll find my deep love for fantasy- and folk-inspired storytelling, brought to life through hand-drawn illustrations and commercially relevant surface patterns. Whether it’s prints for textiles, art for stationery collections, or illustrations for brand collaborations, I create designs that connect emotionally – and work perfectly in the marketplace.

I love spending time with my little family (that’s my husband, our son, and our two cats), playing music on my lute or harp, or crafting elaborate medieval fantasy costumes – just for the joy of it.

What I Offer

With my fashion industry experience and deep understanding of trends, I design patterns and all-over prints that are both visually striking and commercially relevant. Perfect for textiles, stationery, home & living products, and beyond.
My designs are available for licensing, and I also take on custom projects, collaborating with brands to bring their vision to life.
